I ♥ Thursday {no. 7}

Happy Thursday everyone!
I tried to change my blog to a Christmas and it totally messed everything up, so I'm sorry if my background and pretties are not showing up on your screen ):

Here is my weekly Polyvore set for you!  I has kind of a holiday feel to it (by the way its only 12 days until Christmas!) But I didn't know how to throw some green in there without making it look tacky.

I absoloutley love these shoes!  Maybe for that far away wedding (;

Chevron stripe dress

This gorgeous beauty!  It's SO summery-springy, I guess now that it's actually cold I don't want it to be.  Figures.

I hope you all have a wonderful Thursday!

I ♥ Thursday {no. 6}

Once again it's Thursday!  I hope you all are having a fantastic Thursday!
We were supposed to have some snow flurries today in windy, windy Kansas.  But so far it's just one of those days that make you want to curl up next to the fire with a cup of cocoa and a good book.  And it's 45 degrees outside.  45 DEGREES!  It's the middle of DECEMBER!
Okay, sorry back to my post...
I made this on Polyvore
via: bunsjunior.polyvore.com

The only problem I had when making this outfit was, I didn't really know how long the dress was.  So I'm sorry if anyone thinks that it's way too short.

I absolutely LOVE this sweater!  I found it on Pinterest, but sadly it didn't have a link to the actual sweater.

This outfit is SO adorable!  I love the way she paired the polka dots with the stripes!  Not everyone can get away with it, but here it looks great!

This is totally me during the holiday season.  I know I'll regret it after the new year.

I hope your day is wonderful!

I ♥ Thursday {no. 5}

This week has been a little bit crazy!  But it's one of those good kinds of crazy (:
I made this outfit for you all.

Via: http://bunsjunior.polyvore.com/
It has kind of a casual feel to it without it being sloppy, which is what I go for in most of my fashion creations.

Oh. My. Goodness.  I fell in love with this skirt right when I saw it.  I mean, who wouldn't want to wear that gorgeous, sea foam green beauty? You would have to be crazy.

Just so you know future husband.  This is the ring.  Its so perfect!  Just maybe a little bit smaller, so I wouldn't hurt anyone with it.

Well since I already put the ring up there why not go ahead and throw the dress in there too.

This is SO dang gorgeous!  Maybe just without the sash....Now all I need is a gentleman (;
Just kidding...

Well, I hope you all have terrific Thursdays!

A Good Kind of Change

I'm one of those people who don't like change.  I like life to be simple, a slow pace, just me, family, friends, and Jesus.  But, sometimes change can be good!  Like a change of clothes or a new pair of shoes (:  Or in my case some fresh paint!  The problem is there are SO many different colors to chose from.
Sorry it's so messy ):
Welcome to my room!
This is the place where I sleep, write my music, read, and do many, many other things.

We painted the whole room light pink and then sponged darker pink over the top.
This is a close-up of the paint color it is right now.  When I was 6 or 7 I thought it was the coolest room ever!  But I don't really like it so much now.

Here's a few more pictures
Closet door

I also have this handy little desk kind of area that is painted a dark grayish-blue.  My room only gets light in the morning so after about 1 or 2 its super dark in that little area.
Okay now for the fun part!
I really want to paint my room sort of a vintage red color, I want it to be red, but not too red but I don't want it to be pink.
This is kinda what I was thinking for my entire room.
You can't really see very much of a difference right now, but the one on the left is a little pit more coral than red.

I want to paint the little desk area a light blue color.

Again, these are very similar.  But the one on the right is a little bit more of a greenish-blue.

Well here's where you guys come in!  What do you think about the colors I've chosen?  Do you think these colors go together all right?  Any other color ideas?
Let me know!
P.S. It's only 27 days until Christmas (:

I ♥ Thursday {no. 4}

HAPPY THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving, I know our family did!  This week I've been really loving red and blue together.  I'm thinking about painting my room red and blue.
You can follow me on Polyvore (:

It was 70 degrees here today.  70 DEGREES PEOPLE!  It's NOVEMBER!  I'm SO ready for snow!  But Kansas weather changes at the drop of a hat and tomorrow it's supposed to be highs in the 50's.  YAY!  I love my sweaters so I love cold weather (:

Sun hats.  Yes, I know sweaters and sunhats don't go together very well...BUT I love them!  I couldn't find a picture of the one I bought from Forever 21 but it's darling!

Here's a little laugh for your day (:

Happy Thursday!

Sunday Style no.1

This is an outfit I wore quite a while back in September.  It was a pretty casual outfit for church due to the fact that I had some stuff to do right after services.

Shirt: Old Navy $6.00
Capris: Aeropostale  $20.00
Belt: Borrowed
Cardigan: Hand-me-down (:
Sandals: Old Navy $8.00

P.S. I don't really know what's going on with my facial expressions in these pictures.  I think Brooke was making me laugh.

I ♥ Thursday {no. 3}

Hey everyone!  Once again its time for another I ♥ Thursday post!  The weather her has turned a little bit colder, I can't wait for it to start snowing!

Here's an outfit I would LOVE to have!
I made this on Polyvore, you can follow me here: bunsjunior.polyvore.com
Almost everything in here is under $50, besides those shoes.  Sadly they're $930. And that's WAY out of my budget!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner!  I can't wait to see all the family and eat all the delicious food (:  I think I'm looking forward to the stuffing most. What's your favorite Thanksgiving time food? I always get to thinking about what I'm most thankful for this time of the year, I mean that's pretty much what Thanksgiving is for.  To remind us all to count our blessing.  I'm so thankful for a warm house, a wonderful family and a wonderful Savior!  What are you all thankful for?  Happy Thursday!

P.S. What do you guys think about the new look for my blog? I still need a new button but I haven't quite gotten to it yet.

I ♥ Thursday {no. 2}

Sorry everyone...This I ♥ Thursday post is a wee bit late...

This week I've been loving the GORGEOUS fall weather we've been having! Seriously PERFECT for jackets! Especially leather ones ;)

I made this on Polyvore the other day, I thought this was one of those outfits you could wear really anytime of the year, but especially during fall time.

The Phantom of the Opera.  Oh.  My.  Goodness.  How can you not love it!?!
I've been listening to it non-stop :)

Well I hope you all had wonderful Thursdays!  Once again I'm sorry this is late.

Happy Birthday!

17 years ago my very best friend, Micah, was born!  I'm so lucky to have a friend like her!  When Micah was born she was blue due to the fact that her umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck.  When we were little I used to say that I had an alien for a friend who was born blue.  I really don't know what I would do if she hadn't been alright.
Micah on the left, me on the right.
We have had many adventures most including, go-carts, snow adventures, and Jump-5 concerts.

My tan twin (:
One time we even broke a window together (it was all our older sister's, Brooke and Brennah's,  faults (; of course).  Brooke and Brennah had trapped Micah and I in the window seat (it doubled as a toy bin).  They were sitting on top of it while we were pushing on the lid to get out.  Well, Brooke and Brennah got off the lid and ran away so we couldn't get them back.  Micah and I gave our hardest push and CRACK, the lid cracked their bedroom window.  We all say that a whale came through the bedroom window when no one was looking.

Happy Birthday Micah!  I hope your day is wonderful, and your year is blessed!  Love always!

Ahoy, Me Mateys!

ARGHHHH!!!  Yesterday was national Talk like a pirate day!  I didn't talk like a pirate, but I did dress like one.  Krispey Kreme was having a deal where if you dress like a pirate you get a dozen doughnuts! Great deal, right?  Well, Brooke and I just couldn't pass that deal up, so we dressed like pirates!  Our costumes are pretty legit don't you think?  It's amazing what you can put together and have a pretty sweet pirate outfit.
Well, while we where out and about we had some errands to do.  Which landed us at wal-mart.  Let me remind you I was dressed like a pirate!  Not my best fashion statement.  Most of the time people just stared at us and if you looked back at them they quickly looked away.  The best thing that happened at wal-mart was when we passed an older lady and she just bust out laughing at us.  Someday, I'll probably get on that website where everyone posts all the pictures of the weird people they see at wal-mart and find a picture of myself looking at the peppers.  A piece of advice, never go to Wal-Mart in a pirate costume.  Never

 After a stop to Party City, we finally made it to Krispey Kreme.  I went in with my littlest sister Laurel, and got in line. There was only about three other people there.  None of them where pirates.  So I start thinking..."Is it really pirate day? Or do I just look like an idiot standing here in my pirate costume?"  So I looked at Laurel and said, " I need to go to the bathroom."  With no plans for a trip to the bathroom, I headed back outside and asked Brooke if she was sure it was actually pirate day, then we called our dad just to make sure.  It was, so after taking a long trip to the 'bathroom' I went back in and the guy behind the counter just looked at me and said "I'll go get your doughnuts."

 So all in all, it was worth all the embarrassment because we got a bunch of free doughnuts, and it was kind of fun to walk around wal-mart in my pirate outfit, but I don't think I would do it for anything besides Krispey Kremes!

Life Lately

I'm sorry...I know that I'm a failure as a blogger....I keep on saying I'll have more time tomorrow but that isn't the truth...Yeah, I might have more time but I always decide to somehow spend that time doing something else...Tomorrow is my blogs anniversary so I'll try to have a good post!  I promise I'll try!  I woke up this morning with a wonderful idea for a post and when I got on the computer to type it up I could NOT remember for the life of me what it was.  Life around my house has been crazy and great, volleyball games for my little sister, Faith's team (they lost yesterday :( Sad...).  My little towns fall fest complete with a parade, inflatables, and a horse pooping right in front of our house.  Braces coming off, after 2 years and 1 month of being a metal mouth, I know have a nice metal free smile :).  My dad and my older sister, Brooke, are getting ready to go on her graduation trip to New York, they are going to go see the Phantom of the Opera, I am so jealous!  OH!  Today is also Pirate Day at Krispy Kreme and if you dress up like a pirate you get a free dozen doughnuts!  If you say "ARGHH"  you just get a free doughnut, still a pretty sweet deal.   My dad said if we dress up like a pirate he'll take us, so look for some pirate pictures to come!

Pinterest!

Lately I have become OBSESSED with Pinterest.  I don't know why it's so fun to look at all of the random pins.  I particularly like the hair and makeup pins.  I've tried a couple of the hair pins and out of the three or four I've tried, I've only actually had one turn out right :(  I finally tried one of the DIY projects and I'm still trying to finish that up.
<--- This lovely chalkboard notebook.  I'm a doodler so I thought, 'This will be great!  I can doodle without wasting my notebook paper!'  It took quite a few coats of chalkboard paint for the notebook to be completely covered and even after three or four coats you can still kind of see the words Composition Book through the paint.  I'm not sure if it's just the brand of chalkboard paint I used or not.  I noticed that when I wrote on my notebook for the first time after I wiped off the chalk it had little scratch marks in the shape of my doodles.  Again, I'm not sure if it was just my chalkboard pain or not.  I'll take some pictures soon and put them up!  If you try this out, I would love to hear how your Pinterest project went!

Splash of Sunshine Blog Party!

I'm entering the Splash of Sunshine blog party!  All you have to do is answer these questions!
1. What word are you totally loving at the moment?  None, I've been trying to come up with a word and I can't think of any.

2. Any tv shows/movies you are excited for this fall? Leverage.  I really can't get enough of this show!  It's so modern day Robin Hood.  And not in any creepy or weird way, I'm in love with Parker.  She really makes the show so much better!

3. Anything that symbolizes something to you? Not right at the moment.

4. Two favorite songs at the moment? Two!  Only TWO! This is quite a challenge.  I would have to say,

Desire- by Deas Vail

and...

You'll Always be My Best Friend- by Relient K

5. If there was suddenly a world taker over by an evil dictator what would you do? I'm a born rebel, therefore I would rebel.  It makes me a little bit irritated when my sister tells me to do something, so an evil dictator would not be cool.

6. What is your favorite summer activity? Highest Praise!  An amazing three week singing tour with my favorite christian college, OCC.

7. What has been your favorite summer vacation? Beach trips, or mission trips.  Both are amazing!

8. If you received an unlimited shopping spree to any store, what store would it be for? Oooo...That's a hard one.  Probably Forever 21, since we don't have an H&M around these parts.  That's probably a good thing though because if we did, I would be broke.

9. What is your favorite summertime food? Cherry pie and homemade ice cream!  I always ask my mom to make it instead of cake for my birthday :)

10. What is your favorite summertime movie? The Master of Disguise, you really CANNOT watch this movie to many times!  It's so dumb and amazing at the same time!  I'm the only person in my family who really likes it so I don't get to watch it to much.  I'm pretty sure if I lived alone I would watch it everyday.

Highest Praise!

Most of my friends already know that I was on a three week singing tour called Highest Praise.  It was so much fun!  Now, when it was time to sign up for Highest Praise, I didn't want to go at all.  I struggled for a while with really deciding to go or not.  My reasoning being, I didn't want to be away from home for that long and that I didn't want to be gone on my birthday.  Silly reasons, I know.  Well after I actually got there time seemed to go by SO FAST!  All the days ran together and before I knew it, it was time to hit the road for tour.  Tour was SO MUCH FUN!!!  You all get on this huge charter bus and spend every single moment of the day together.  By the end of tour you know a lot more about the people you were with and a bunch of other stuff.  Did you know that grape juice is a dairy product? You even see peoples grumpier sides when you have to be at the church by 5 in the morning.  BUT, before you go on tour, every night you have worship and lesson time and then family group time.  Family group time, in my opinion that was the best part of Highest Praise.  You just get to hang out and talk about the lesson and most of the time our family group would end the night playing chubby bunny.  For those of you who have never heard of it you need to learn all about it, go here.  Another thing that made Highest Praise so great was having a awesome super cool roommate and best friend, thanks Emily!  Another person that made Highest Praise so fun was my other best friend Tristen, she is so funny! There was never a dull moment when Tristen or Emily was around.  The worst part about Highest Praise was probably ironing crew, and even that was fun most of the time!  Another neat thing was host homes.  After you were done performing that night you would get assigned host homes and they where so much fun!  You really got to bond with the people you meet and the girls you stayed with.  Overall, Highest Praise is just amazing!  I love it so much and I can't wait until next year to go back!
